Learner Reviews & Feedback for Diversity and Belonging in Businesses and Organizations by IE Business School

About the Course

This course on Diversity and Belonging in Businesses and Organizations will support individuals, teams, and organizations to better understand and implement policies and practices that promote the inclusion as well as the belonging of all employees. We aim to cover the following topics: Policies - How to identify and understand the ways in which the structural dynamics of an organization can preclude a sense of belonging and how to use inclusive policies as a tool to foster belonging. Practices - How to design an organizational culture that promotes the well-being and belonging of all its constituents through kindness, empathy, openness, and compassion. People - How to leverage the creation of affinity groups and task forces to overcome structural biases, build community, and create a greater sense of belonging. The final module of the course provides complementary resources to bring course concepts together and support an organization's belonging efforts....

Dr. Tollette's course is a must on DEIB. Her approach is not only systematic, exemplified, and accessible, but it is nuanced and avoids the usual pitfalls of shallow DEI knowledge. I really recommend anyone wanting to get a stimulating and anchoring overview of what DEIB is and how to do it right in organizations to take her course!

Seemed kind of repetitive with the other course on Diversity. Also it was sloppy: there were lots of spelling errors and typos in Week 2, there was a wrong graphic shown in Week 3 and Week 4 had some of the graphics shown during the wrong talks.

The content of the course was great & informative. Really great strategies were brought up about how to create a space of belonging through policy. But, to receive your certification you have to wait for your final to be peer reviewed. I signed up for the course using the 7 day free trial. And after reviewing 11 other student's finals I noticed many of them were from 2+ years ago - its becoming apparent that I will not likely receive this certification in a timely manner after I put in time & work and I feel really defeated.
