Let's learn the seven step problem-solving model. These seven steps are in order for a reason. We do one step, and then we do the next one. There are seven of them, and we're going to memorize them. I have found that with the door learning, if you can do kinetic memorization, it's really helpful. Why memorize it? Well, when you're having a problem, the last thing you want to do is go look up your notes. This is a real easy way to remember the steps, so that you can just get to solving the problem. The way we're going to do this is, I'm going to do a hand motion, and say the name of the step, and then you'll do the hand motion, and say the name of the step, and the hand motion will help you remember the name of the step. Here we go. Step 1 is problem identification. We're going to call it problem id. This is where you take a look at the problem, you see who's involved, what's going on, where is it happening and so forth. You dive right in. Its problem id. That's the first one. The second step is, you reframe the problem into the form of a goal-oriented question. I'm thinking like a picture frame. The first step is problem id. Second step, reframe. Then after we reframe it, that tease us up to be able to do some brainstorming. I'm picturing these thought bubbles of brainstorms. So brainstorm. First step is problem id, then reframe, then brainstorm. The next three steps are really easy. You choose 3, and you discuss the advantages and disadvantages. From the top, problem id, reframe, brainstorm, choose 3, advantages and disadvantages. All right, great. After that, we prepare and recommend. We need to prepare and recommend, and I'm thinking prepare the dough to make the bread, and then recommend your solution. Prepare and recommend. From the top, problem id, reframe, brainstorm, choose 3, advantages, disadvantages, prepare and recommend. We've got one more step left, almost there. Then the last step is engage feedback. We want to get people's opinion on it. Find out if we've done a good job of solving the problem. The last step is, engaged feedback. The whole thing from the top. Problem id, reframe, brainstorm, choose 3, advantages, disadvantages, prepare, recommend, and engage feedback. Here's the pop quiz. I'm going to do the hand motions, you say the name of the steps. Here we go. Give me a high five, here we go. Alright. Very good. That was fun. But what's even more important is you've got to memorized. I'm going to challenge you to teach that to someone that you live with. Let's go into these steps one at a time.
